The Hickory Hollow is a family-run business that has been serving quality food for 35 years.

 

We serve up traditional style barbecue with the tomato-based sauce but specialize in Eastern N.C.-style barbecue that is hickory-smoked and marinated in sweet vinegar and seasonings. Our menu is extensive and includes hickory-smoked pork spare ribs, barbecue chicken, char-grilled prime rib and baby backs that our customers are going nuts over.

 

For those of you who prefer your entree from the sea, we offer a wide selection of grilled and fried seafood, including Baltimore-style crab cakes, fish, soft shell crabs, scallops, and shrimp.

 

Our platters are served up with 2 corn fritters and your choice of 2 home-cooked vegetables from a rotating list of about 25 veggies served daily.  If it's fresh, we're serving it.  To name a few... Squash & Cheese Casserole, Collard Greens, Baked Beans, Black-Eyed Peas, Mashed Potatoes, Rutabagas, Stewed Tomatoes, Pole Beans, Sugar Snap Peas, Potato Salad, Fried Okra, and many many more!

 

Can't decide? Then create your own veggie platter or meat and seafood combination platter.

 

Start your meal off with a yummy appetizer such as Smoked Fish Spread, Stuffed Olives, Grilled Pork Shanks, Wings anyway you like them!  And finish yourself off with a delicious homemade dessert (Apple Crisp, Cobblers, Bourbon Pecan Pie, Bread Pudding all served with vanilla ice cream melting over top, oh my!)

 

And last but not least, we'd like to tempt you with an extensive selection of craft beer and some lovely wines.
